Status akreditasi suatu perguruan tinggi merupakan cermin kinerja perguruan tinggi yang bersangkutan dan menggambarkan mutu, efisiensi, serta relevansi suatu program studi yang diselenggarakan.

Saat ini terdapat dua jenis akreditasi yang diberikan oleh pemerintah kepada program studi di perguruan tinggi, yaitu:

  1. Status Terdaftar, Diakui, atau Disamakan yang diberikan kepada Perguruan Tinggi Swasta
  2. Status Terakreditasi atau Nir-Akreditasi yang diberikan kepada semua perguruan tinggi (Perguruan Tinggi Negeri, Perguruan Tinggi Swasta, dan Perguruan Tinggi Kedinasan).

E-Pendidikan (E-Education) dimaksudkan untuk merangkum informasi yang berhubungan dengan menggunakan teknologi untuk membantu pendidik, pelajar dan masyarakat.

Komputer dan Internet sudah diterima sebagai alat yang penting untuk komunikasi dan bisnis di Indonesia, sehingga sekarang menjadi hal yang penting pula untuk pendidikan Indonesia yang sedang mengalami reformasi baik mahasswa ataupun dosen.

Tujuan utama homepage ini adalah:

Mahasiswa, dosen dan masyarakat yang bisa menggunakan Internet untuk memberikan kontribusi dan menggunakan pengetahuan dari pihak lain (sharing).

Memberikan informasi mengenai pengembangan teknologi belajar secara lokal dan global.

Memberi kesempatan kepada pedagang (manufacturers dan suppliers) peralatan untuk mempromosikan produk mereka (dan harga khusus) kepada lingkungan pendidikan.

Membagi informasi kepada banyak pihak yang jauh dari pusat kota maupun pusat pendidikan.
